Story Of My Bus

A one-of-a-kind dream bus with three levels of excitement and comfort, featuring a custom ceiling height that allows even those over six feet tall to walk around comfortably.
I was born in Hungary and moved to Florida, USA, in 2011. Since then, I’ve gained a wide range of skills that enabled me to build this unique three-story bus.
This bus was designed as a stationary home rather than for travel. While it is capable of moving when necessary, it requires connection to an electrical outlet and water hose for full functionality. It does not have a generator, water tank, or other mobile systems.
This bus could have been built differently, but I designed it with a specific purpose in mind. Living in Hungary doesn’t allow for many of the modifications I made to be legally used on the road every day—so I focused on creating a unique, livable space instead. And here is my story.
Finding this bus was surprisingly easy. I came across it on Marketplace—everything was in working condition, and the price was incredibly low. I knew right away it would become my new home, complete with a Jacuzzi installed on the roof.
The conversion process took approximately 10 months, during which I worked on it alone for about 30 hours each week.
I started with some design ideas while working on the bus, but as the weeks went by, I kept making changes along the way. In the end, the final result turned out quite different from the original plan.
Let me tell you about the smart technology I’ve integrated into the bus. Everything is voice-controlled using Alexa and Google Home, including the split AC units on both floors, all lighting, infrared heating panels, and ambient features like night lights and moonlight effects.
The bus features several other smart devices: built-in temperature-sensing faucets, six wireless smartphone charging stations placed throughout the space, a massage chair, and a rooftop Jacuzzi. The entire water system is filtered, ensuring clean water at every tap. There's even a remote-controlled headlight system that can fully illuminate the backyard at night.
I removed the entire middle floor and completely rebuilt the interior framing, allowing for comfortable movement—even for people over six feet tall. This major structural transformation not only makes the double-decker bus truly one of a kind, but also allowed me to add a third floor on top, complete with a built-in Jacuzzi
It features a fire stove with a built-in water tank, which is connected to all the original radiators on both floors. When winter comes, I can fire it up—not only does the stove provide heat, but it also circulates hot water through the radiators, ensuring efficient and powerful heating throughout the entire bus at a low cost, even during freezing temperatures.
